Welcome to Truckee Tahoe Swim Team
Truckee Tahoe Swim Team is a year-round competitive USA Swimming team. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit club, operated by a board of directors that meets monthly.
The team is a member of Sierra Nevada Swimming, the local governing body (LSC) under USA Swimming.
We’re proud to train at 6,000 feet elevation, right in the heart of California’s beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains.

Our Mission
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide every member — regardless of ability — with the opportunity to grow both socially and athletically, without feeling lost or left behind.
Coaching
All of our coaches are certified members of USA Swimming and have access to the most comprehensive training and certification program for youth swimming coaches in the United States. We offer professional coaching for swimmers at all levels, from Novice to National, covering ages roughly 4 to 18 and a wide range of abilities.
Our team proudly supports a diverse group of athletes, from Olympic Trials qualifiers to beginners focusing on basic skill development.
We also welcome prospective swimmers to experience our program through free trial days. When a training group reaches capacity, free assessment days may be paused, and a waiting list will be started. We maintain separate waiting lists of up to 70 members for both the development levels and the Pre-Senior to National levels.
Swimmers entering our first level of the team must be able to safely swim 25 yards and must pass the facility swim test.

During most of the season (school year schedule), practices run from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
🏊♂️ Truckee Tahoe Swim Team — 2026–2027 Season Overview
Our first practice of the 2026–2027 season will be Tuesday, September 8, 2026. The last practice of the season will be in late July 2026, after which the team takes its annual break during August.
During the school year (September–June), practices are held in the afternoon between 3:00pm–6:00pm. When school is out, practices move to the morning for about one month before the August break.
TTUSD School Year Practice Schedule
(September 8, 2026 – June 2027):
Mini-Marlin - Offered in short seasonal sessions
Ages: Approximately 5–9
Days: Monday–Thursday
Time: 4:50–5:40 PM
Frequency: 2 days per week

Days are flexible. This system allows the coaching staff to balance the number of swimmers attending each day. If a requested day becomes too full, coaches will work with families to find another option.
LTC 1
Ages: Approximately 5–10
Days: Monday–Thursday
Time: 4:50–5:45 PM
Frequency: 2 days per week
Families should email their two preferred practice days to the coaching staff or registrar.
LTC 2
Ages: Approximately 8–12
Days: Monday–Thursday
Time: 4:50–5:55 PM
Frequency: 2 days per week
Families should email their two preferred practice days to the coaching staff or registrar.
LTC 3 — Pre-Senior
Ages: Approximately ages 8 –12, generally ages 10 - 12 are most common.
Days: Monday–Friday
Time: 3:30–4:40/5:00 PM
Swimmers do not have to attend all five days, but more than two practices per week is strongly recommended.
Senior Team
Ages: 12+
Days: Monday–Friday
Time: 3:00–4:40/5:00 PM
Frequency: 5 days per week
Senior Team swimmers are expected to attend all five practices each week and communicate with coaches when a practice must be missed.
Multi-Sport
Ages: 12+
Days: Monday–Thursday
Time: Approximately 3:30–4:40 PM
Frequency: 2 days per week
Families should email the coaching staff or registrar with their two preferred practice days.
